Mike’s Pizza + Market is a family-owned restaurant and Mediterranean gourmet market in Norfolk, Virginia blending Greek heritage, military pride, and a deep sense of community. Known for their warm hospitality, authentic food, and curated market finds, Mike’s is more than just a place to eat—it’s a family story served daily.

We were tasked with creating a website that captured the heart of the brand while driving foot traffic to their store. They felt their existing website was outdated, hard to navigate, and disconnected from the in-person experience. For a business built on strong identity and personal connection, the challenge was to create a web experience that felt just as inviting, trustworthy, and unique as walking through their doors.

  • Building a mobile-optimized Squarespace site with custom code to enhance design flexibility and performance

  • Writing all new website copy that captured the brand’s personality, values, and offerings in a clear, approachable tone

  • Developed brand visuals—including custom brand colors and fonts—that reflected Mike’s Greek-American roots and community-first feel

  • Providing guidance on photography best practices to ensure product and space images were high-quality, cohesive, and brand-aligned

  • Making it easy to view the menu and explore both the restaurant and gourmet market offerings

  • Integrating an email signup and marketing tools to support ongoing promotions and communication
